Every Tuesday there is night market at Gelang Patah at JB.  I went there yesterday, just a 45 minutes drive from S’pore to JB by Second Link, I reached JB around 7pm and the traffic was smooth. We can buy a lot of things there such as tit-bits, fruits, cooked foods, groceries and different variety of vegetables e:g edible ferns. We are not allowed to bring back chickens, eggs and beef. ICA officer will check all cars and if they find out that we bring in those things our name will be recorded in their record book and sent to AVA.  The things will be taken away and disposed right in front of us. ( this is under AVA rules)

19 Sept 2007. It was a shocking day for me. I received a msg from my daughter, stating that she had  news for me. My heart was pumping fast, couldn’t tink of anytink and could not concentrate to continue to do work. She called me and to my surprise, she told me she fell into a drain. Want to see the injury??

chicken curry cooked by me for breakin fast yesterday.

If you wish to try, please see the recipe below:

1. Heat up 2 tablespoon of oil

2. Stir-fry mixed paste (curry powder 2 spoons + 1 teaspoon ground garlic, 1 tablespoon onions and 1 teaspoon ginger) until fragrant smell.

3. Add a bit of water, then add 1 bowl of low fat milk

4. Add 3 potatoes (cut into 4 ), and lastly add chicken (1 chicken cut into 8 pieces) plus salt to taste

5. Simmer over low fire till the chicken meat is soft and tender

This kueh is called Kueh Bakar.  This kueh is easy to make.  It is made from flour, sugar, egg and coconut milk.
